Reconview Validates Mobile Surveillance Tower Durability with Successful Ballistic Testing

Reconview surveillance tower at gun range for ballistic testing

Performance data proves resilience for Law Enforcement, Corrections, and Border Patrol agencies in high-stakes environments.

Reconview today announced the successful completion of comprehensive ballistic performance testing on its mobile surveillance towers.

As mobile towers are increasingly utilized by sheriff and police departments, corrections officers, and border patrol agents, hardware resilience has become a critical requirement. This live-fire evaluation conducted at a specialized ballistics range proves that Reconview units are engineered to maintain operational integrity even when subjected to multiple calibers at varying distances.

The testing validated three critical performance areas:

  • Personnel Protection: Proving the tower’s ability to act as a protective barrier for personnel on-site during kinetic events.
  • Structural Integrity: Performance verification of specialized ballistic glass and armor plating against common handgun and rifle calibers.
  • Operational Continuity: Ensuring that kinetic impact does not disable recording and communication hardware inside the unit.
